Im kind of unsure how to play monotone boards, With or without the nuts.
so i decide to call down against an unknown, but i feel like its always just a gamble in these spots as i find it hard to tell if im ahead or behind.

Stacks:
UTG ($10.61)
Hero (UTG+1) ($10)
CO ($5.10)
BTN ($8.70)
SB ($10.98)
BB ($10.04)

Pre-Flop: ($0.15, 6 players) Hero is UTG+1 9♣ 8♦ 7♥ K♣
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.30, CO calls $0.30, 2 folds, BB calls $0.20

Flop: J♣ 2♣ 8♣ ($0.95, 3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: 9♠ ($0.95, 3 players)
BB bets $0.70, Hero calls $0.70, CO folds

River: 4♠ ($2.35, 2 players)
BB bets $2.24, Hero calls $2.24

I would bet this flop, and if I'd be called I would bet turn too and check behind river

Flopped flushes (non-nuts) can be tricky. But the thing is to decide if you are going to be afraid of higher flush with some action or not.

With 2nd nut flush, I would always play for stacks against 1 opponent. As I am not really folding, I am not going to be afraid of nutflush. If opponent has nutflush, then be it. And against that, the stacks will go in almost everytime, no matter what we do. What I am doing, is to think how we can get the max value from smaller flushes. With 3rd nut (or lower) flush the opponent isn't really going to raise. His typical line is either raise on flop, or call/fold on flop or turn. Some guys can even call flop, call turn and fold river with small flush.

Se the basic line is bet flop, bet turn, bet river. On flop I would bet half a pot, as I am doing that with bluffs/semibluffs too. But that of course depends on opponents. No need to balance ranges against players who are not going to exploit you (I might write a new thread about this, as this looks to be a big "myth" among poker players). If opponent calls flop, he has something. Bet turn with 3/4 pot and bet big on river. If opponent is call happy, you can pot turn too. Calling stations will not fold set/flush to a pot size bet, if they would call 3/4 pots.

There is roughly a 20% chance one of your 5 opponents was dealt a suited A :club: preflop. With this in mind I think you have to bet each street here. You can consider a fold if a nitty player check raises you and you're sure he rarely bluffs, but I prefer a bet to a check on this flop as you want to get stacks in by the river against most players (since you're usually good) and you can't do that by checking the flop unless an opponent bets for you on the turn and you plan to raise here.

Given how this hand played out, I think raising the river is good here since you look weak on the turn and your hand is underrepped after your check on the flop.
