Villain was a tricky fish, as I call. His stats were 54/4/1.3 (VPIP/PFR/AF), with an AF of 4.0 on the river. My intention here was to extract thin value out of any straight that might have hit this board (and there were plenty). Then I bet just about 1/4 of the pot and get raised pot. What the hell should I do now? I was left wondering.

I have plenty of difficulty with 4th nuts, you see... _confused:

I'm raising this flop as a semi bluff. Top 2 pair and a flush draw. When someone bets 20 cents into a 60 cent pot, they clearly have nothing on this draw heavy board.

I would raise here to get people to fold non nut straights, maybe bottom set, plus maybe a better non nut flush draw.

It's not a terrible board to stack off if your flush draw is live heads up (if it isn't live your 2 pair likely is good).

Turn: Same again, you have 2nd nuts. BB clearly does not have QJ with his betting pattern. Likewise SB definitely doesn't have QJ since he called the flop (you ALWAYS raise here with the nuts in this spot).

Given this information you should raise the turn as you are always good here (plus you have a redraw, so you may be freerolling someone else with JTxx).

River = DOH!

I wouldn't bet here, a worse hand isn't calling and a better hand isn't folding. Just check behind and see what hands these guys were playing. :f_biggrin:
