Hey, i recently started playing 180-man turbos, and have been showing good results.

This hand though i am really unsure i made a decent call here.

Factors, big stack shoved previous 4 times in a row to put pressure for finale table. I thought if i call and win this hand i take the lead and a good chanse in winning the tourney, i knew he was shoving wide, but i was at a healthy stack at this point. My idee though is to win not go for a higher pay, thats the reason i called here.

I am realy agressive but i do think i schould only call there with jj+ ak+and i got to aggro here.

Any thought?

As Ihufa suggested, it's a lot easier for people to read the hand if it has been converted.

I believe this post is better suited to be posted in the Subforum for this area, for Handevaluations >$11.

I think this is a close fold if you put the big stack on ATC, which makes it what I call an "unexploitable fold." I made some guesses about the stacks at the other table, and I put the situation into my program ICM Explorer.

Fold: 28948 chips, 0.099, SD: $157.87
Win: 62896 chips, 0.1531
Lose: 0 chips, 0.012
Tie: 31448 chips, 0.1038

Equity needed: 61.61%
Chip odds: 46.03%
Risk premium: 15.58%
Chips gained by marginal call: 9799.14.
Ties count as 65.03% of a win.
SD of marginal call: $184.32.

Basically, according to the ICM you should be so risk-averse that if there were no dead money, you would want to be almost a 2:1 favorite to get all-in against the big stack. The dead money from the blinds and antes lowers this a bit, but you still want to be a larger favorite than KQo is over a random hand (61.46%) to get involved. Actually, KQo would have enough equity according to the output because it ties 2% of the time which is worth 0.3% extra wins, or about 61.8%, but because the BB might call or overcall this is a fold.

I find it hard to put anyone on a 100% range, and KQo also has less equity (perhaps 60.4%) against a top 85% range.

I know it is fashionable to say that you are playing for first instead of moving up in the money. However, the reality is that when you get near the final table, a significant portion of your expectation comes from survivng another few places, and you are losing a lot of this by taking what you hope is a 60:40. Playing for first is not actually correct. It's something you say to correct the common error of overvaluing minimum cashes. Here, you are in good shape to make it up several substantial steps up in the prize money.
