yesterday i played in a very solid turnament but i got elminated before the money. i had A
Q
o in the big blind. blinds 600 1200 BB. A player raised in early position UTG he raised 2400. for 1200 more I called without raise to see the flop. the flop is quite good for me Q
J :heart:9
i checked to induce him to bet, he went all inn, we had more or less the same stack, 12000 behind. I do not even think 2 min, I called immediately. he had pocket AA. maybe I should have thought more about pocket AA or KK or a set?
how do you evaluate? thanks

if you just follow preflop play charts and recommendations given by this site - you shouldn't call with AQ.. maybe if suited... but, you must assume that he knows what he is doing, if raised from UTG positions... such hands i play with thinking about - do i feel comfortabe reraising him with 3bet or not... and in very rarely situations just call - maybe with strong suited hand, or connectors...
and, i would fold after his all in, in this situation...
3-bet ship AQo everytime you have 14BB's. Unless you have some GOOD read on your op's then you can fold
