Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed)

CO ($22.60)
Button ($12.30)
SB ($21.65)
BB ($11.75)
Hero ($24.65)
UTG+1 ($39.15)
MP1 ($5.50)
MP2 ($30.80)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J :diamond:J
Hero raises to $1, UTG+1 calls $1, 4 folds, SB calls $0.90, BB calls $0.75.

Flop: ($4) K :club:K :diamond:3  (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $2, UTG+1 calls $2, SB folds, BB folds.

Turn: ($8) 4 :club: (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $3, Hero calls $3.

River: ($14) 2 :spade:(2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $5, Hero calls $5.

Final Pot: $24

Is check/call turn and river the right approach in this situation?

I'd bet the flop a little more. As played, I think you are typically behind against a AK/KQ hand from UTG+1, but you can't get away as he may have a smaller pocket.

Your hand doesn´t need protection, but I would bet/fold turn for value and check/call river for bluff induce.

Exactly my problem :) I knew I was probably beaten but I couldn´t let go with this hand.

@ Kaitz I didn´t bet the turn because what hands would call that I could beat, other than smaller pockets ?

Maybe some Ax hands also. If the player wants to float you then this quite good board.

I don´t think he would call a raise from EP with Ax, him being also EP but ....all is possible on this limits

@Kaitz: I agree that we don't need protection, but I typically bet a little more on such flops even if I hit (to get value), so I have to bet the same amount when I miss.
