Well, the problem on river is that do you really think that the guy is going to Call you down with a lot worse? I mean there obviously are some hands which may pay you but even such a play I have doubt he is going to Call with worse than Qx here. Even with QT/Q9 or whatsoever hands he will have hard time to Call vs such a bet.
For that given reason I do even sometimes prefer to skip even the thin value and Check it behind. We can't be sure either we are betting here for value or not. AT the same time he might even trap us.
But obviously against his range it shouldn't be that big mistake to bet it, although I would bet maximum of $4-5.
