[Closed] FL BRM and FR to SH

for FR you need 330bb so you can go to 0,5/1 FR for sure.
for SH 500bb is better, for the variance like you sead

from 1/2 up to 3/6 sh i played with 1000bb brm but thats too tight i guess

i think it also depends on your charakter... if you have no problems to move down 1 limit after 1 or 2 bad sessions you can use a more aggressive brm

about the sh-fr thing:
tilt always sucks
but sh is way more profitable than fr at any limit. i think at 2/4+ it´s really getting boring at most fr tables. too tight imo

Thought so... FR is too robotic to play at the higher limits huh? Probably like using SSS on high stakes NL

mh i think the main problem at the higher limits is that there aren´t that many fishes... becauses they like action, so they like sh tables. imo fr tables at 1/2 or 2/4+ are just too tight.

yes it is but one day i lost 5xx$ playing 2/4 in about 1,5 hours and i was pretty happy that my br was 4k+ ^^

I'm gonna use 500BB on SH till 10/20 I think I don't have a problem moving down so it allows me to go up quicker aswell.

I lost 400 on 2/4 in 2 hours with like 1700, and it didn't really worry me a lot frzl

I think it's more important what you feel comfortable with, like frzl said he feels comfortable with 1000, I feel comfortable with 500, and if you do with 700 then you should do 700

I tried a little SH today, brutal. People call with anything and the bastards are really lucky. My first hand was a two pair on the flop that turned in to a full house on the turn and got fucked on the river:

hand:56

flop:5Q6

turn:5

river:Q

There was only one guy beside me in the pot and I CAPed the flop and turn, called the river. He showed Q :heart:8 :heart:, and keep in mind that the flop was a rainbow.

I barely made it out of that table with a 7BB profit.

Really need to read the FL SH articles ♦

I thought 400BB would be ok for SH, after 3 days i had less than 200 BB left, I'd recommend at LEAST 500, though it's ok if u start with 1-2 tables.

Most important thing is EXPERIENCE in SH. It's full of 1000s of very close situations where it's hard to tell what is right and wrong, I'm just starting to get to grips with it after 10K+ hands. If you start getting annoyed at those lucky bastards calling down to the river with 32o to hit their 2pair 3s and 2s STOP, this will save you much $$$$!

The material doesn't help u much compared to to the gold FL SH videos, you HAVE TO WATCH THEM, they are amazing for learning up the niggles of SH, especially the gold stoxtrader ones.

My experience has taught me that if you're not already an expert at shorthanded the key is to play 1 or 2 tables max and really think about all your decisions, trying to apply as many of the relevant concepts as you can. You just can't do that multitabling.

Now I just printed out the silver SH chart and read some of the articles. Then I thought I should try it out a bit. I sat down at two tables SH FL 0.5$/1$ and played for a while.

I bought in at both tables with 30$, I left one of them with about 60$ and the other one with close to 0$.

How's that for variance ♦
