Hero checks, UTG bets $1.80, Hero folds

UTG wins $1.19

Did I give up to early or maybe miss a continutation bet? Any advice welcome.

I didnt really like the flop as I had no spade and he could easily have a "Q" in his range. This is the main reason I decided not to continuation bet as I felt pretty certain I would get called and possibly even rasied.

I wanted some advice on this hand as I get into this situation pretty regular were I 3Bet a monster pre-flop but am lost on certain flops!

Dont think so with his overbet on flop.

Everybody will eventually run worse than they thought was possible. The difference between a winner and a loser is that the latter thinks they do not deserve it.

Well, doubt that it's purely off situation here. While his 3bet calling range hardly hits that kind of board. Unless he is really having a high VPIP/PFR which I don't have info for. So for the given reason I guess Check/Folding is totally fine, while I don't see many hands folding here anyways. Plus against his stack I m pretty sure we ain't gonna lay down even JJ.

We can't be even sure if an Ace or King comes where we stand with our hand. While the opponent could easily then have 2pairs himself.
