I have made 3 sessions sticking word by word to MSS. First 2(NL2) were in Everest and i was up. As i haven`t been playing on Party for a while then they reminded them self and offered standard 25$ bonus for earning 100 Party points. I switched to Party as it was high time to claim the bonus and played NL4 with 144$ bankroll.

I played 1015 hands by multitabling 4 tables( i really like party stacking feature). I was down 9.6BB.

I guess it is standard with MSS?

Compared to Everest NL2 it was much harder. Most of the hands someone raised preflop and people are more aggressive but they didn`t call when I had premium hands. Every table had 1-2 players who`s VP was higher than 20.

i work hard on stealing blinds, folding hands, winning small pots on flops and then i loose all with one badly played hand. I'm never gonna move up a limit like that.

doesn't it seems sometimes that other players have figured out MSS players 'cause when we make preflop raise with AJ from MP then they know that if they reraise us then we are supposed to fold.

1st hand:

If those are opponent stats he's a real maniac but I prefer just calling KQ here, since you don't want to get your whole stack in preflop against something like A5. I would call and hope to hit and stack him postflop, otherwise just fold on other flops.

2nd hand:

If a reg is 3betting you I would just fold since most of them 3bet against UTG+1 something like qq+/ak+ or tighter (would even fold JJ against most), if the player is looser I would just stackoff preflop. As played I prefer to check flop to him since he's never folding a better pair or higher club, but he's sometimes betting with the hands that missed or a lower pair with a club and giving you better value overall.

this post should be under whining and crying thread but i think i can do some in my blog as well.
I feel as if someone or smt is trying to tell me that poker is not my game.

When you look at my graph then what can you tell me?

blue is the part where i realized that i need some kind of strategy or guidelines to play. so i printed out MSS strategy pdf and started following it line by line. at first, as you can see it went pretty well. but then smt happened but i don't know what. i feel like being squashed - when i make raise preflop with AJ, medium PP etc i am being reraised and i have to fold. it is just like everyone knows that my fold to 3bet is quite high(have very few hands that let me reraise or shove). BUT, when i have pocket KK and i make preflop raise then people tend to fold.

recent trends have become also that when i have overcards on flop and i make c-bet then i get called and after check on the turn i am being bet which makes me fold.

and finally cherry on the top of my cake are these 2 hands that occurred at the red spot on my graph. both times the villain was the same person.

I totally missed that straight on river. I have become better at folding 1-pair when i'm behind but still can't fold 2 pair.

Everest kicked me out about a month ago and finally i pulled myself together to make a summary of play there. Here it is. Proof that i suck but Everest is a damn good room to grind.

I don't know if this is correct but i calculated weighted average to get the average limit i played.

avg limit nl9,6$(i guess you can round it to nl10).

Then i looked at financial part:

As you see first three numbers don't add up to the amount i withdrawed which is exactly the point of this post.
There is +483$ cap and i believe this is the rakeback and all the bonuses i got during my stay.

To understand this number better i wanted to know how big is this number in terms of bb/100.

As said before my avg limit was nl9,6 which means i got bonus 5052bb.
Number of hands was 133533 and therefore it is 3,78bb/100.
I think this is like really good result? Ofc now you gonna say: "Dude, you didn't mention how much rake you paid!"

Well, here it is - according to PT4 rake paid 794$ which mean 60% rakeback?!?

It is a new year with new hopes. I promised myself i will be bloging once per week(on saturday) about my poker.......situation. To achieve that i scheduled reminder with popup in google cal. Let's see how it goes.

Anyway, after being kicked from Everest i didn't know where to move my roll. I think it is good that Everest kicked me because i was 'already' taking shots at FR nl25 tables and noticed that most of the time there were less than 4 nl50 FR tables. So, i had to change the room anyway or switch to SH. Switching to SH is more obvious choice so started to play nl4 at Partypoker where i had 120$ waiting. Well, that did not go so well.

I had always hated Party (because i could never show a winrate there) and my anger increased even more so i decided to pick out a new promoted room by pokerstrategy. Due to local laws most of the rooms are forbidden in estonia and with more popular ones i had already foolishly joined without any promotional deals. So, i decided to track my PS account with Ladbrokes.

Surprise-surprise, this room wasn't more welcoming than Party.

Ofc i started 4-tabling right away without knowing the software and this is what lead to that steep drop right in the beginning. But i couldn't pull myself together and felt that Microgaming is really so full of fish waiting to give their stacks away but not to me. They sucked out or just 'always' had it. I learned to love Party because it has better players and i was in better control of situation. I could predict the outcome more precicely. And there i was - playing 2/3 of my hands at Party and rest at Lad's. As i was still losing then playing became repulsive and i spent only 1h per day at tables. I can't even say that i was studying during the rest of time - watched passively 2-3 vids a week and occasional articles.

But it changed with new year. I have been on a heater for last 3 days and have made up all my losses at Lad's. I have been hiting the flop like god and fish haven't sucked out on me.

Only problem is volume. I need to push it harder and lose the fear.

So, I have increased the volume a bit but heater has been wearing off

yeah, last 700 hands have nonshowdown issue. I still need to look into them.

Nevertheless i feel i have been playing more conciously this year by going through the future streets in my head and then folding at marginal spots on flop. I have noticed that cap between VPIP and PFR has widened at Lads. I limp-call more often with small pp because it seems that fish call my raises lightly and i get many callers. So i have chosen to see flop cheaply and start building the pot when i hit it good. quite often i use min openraises and at Lads they work quite well. Looks like fish at Lad's are not familiar with the software or maybe do it intentionally but quite often when i raise 12c(3bb) then i am being reraised to 20c. I get so good odds to call with my strong range and get their money if i hit.
And ofc fish are so willing to go all in with their drawing hands and middle pairs.

since last post

Volume has droped and i have started to tilt. Good thing is that mostly i don't hit flop and give up the hand easily compared to the situations where i have a draw or small pair and call down fish to find out he still has better hand.

i think this weekly update does not work for me as i hoped(in some way it did - i was surprised to find out that i had played only 3600 hands during last 7 days). I don't like that i post only graphs and no specific thoughts or problems i encounter durign the week. So, i decided that in addition to weekly update on saturday i will start making daily mini summary of previous day. Currently i'm really interested what are the reasons why i can't pull 5k hands in a week(1k per workday). So every morning when tilt has weared off and i don't want to commit suicide i will comment shortly my previous day.

I missed an update yesterday morning. This is not a good sign if you give a promise and then brake it on very next day. Anyway, let's do it now.
Saturday and Sunday where slow. I allow myself to take one day off from poker during weekend but i still ended up playing on both days. I know this is bad. I should have strict rules on days when i concentrate on poker and days when i relax.
But still, i think i played my A game. Thought ahead and made good folds.

Which i cannot say about Monday:

I guess my tilt issues are more serious than i acknowledge. Every time i lose a big pot my red line starts to dive. And ofc then i am master at blaming poor cardrun.

I'm not even gonna talk about the hands starting from 1200 where yellow and green lines are moving in opposite directions and end up with 400bb cap.

During weekend i tried to do little analyzis about winning sessions and losing sessions and see if there are some fundamental difference. But i didn't find anythig interesting. I guess my sample size is too small and i din't look at correct stats. Has anyone any ideas which stats should i be looking at in addition to VPIP, PFR, 3bet, folds?

and after that i wasn't dealt good hands and just bleeded away the blinds until lady luck presented her and i had 2 good suckouts. But as i was tilted because my preflop all in with QQ ran into KK then i decided to quit the session and call it a day(although i did catch Q high straight ).

Speaking about the posted hand. I guess i can fold my hand to flop min raise as i don't have flush draws and villain very often has J there.

I'm just incapable of trusting fish and never believe they have good hand and just have to call them down.

I have 'mental game of poker'. Start reading it in nearer future. If not sooner then tomorrow evening when i'm taking a train to parents house.

in addition to online poker i play weekly live 22€ sng and haven't been able to cash 5 weeks in a row.

gonna take time off for 3 days and starting from next week will attend more coachings and watch videos and work on mindset.

Starting to lose faith in myself.

So, had 4 poker free days. Most of the time was at my parents but as bed there is 1 size too small then i couldn't get enough night time sleep and drinking shots at a birthday didn't improve my situation as well. So, when i arrived back to Tallinn i was even more exhausted than before. Therefore i wasn't motivated to play on monday and i felt that my mindset still hasn't improved much. Nevertheless i managed to play 400 hands and bank 330 bb.

i'm totally off track currently. Played only 168 hands yesterday. Still missing motivation. Today i played at least 5h Company of Heros. I only quit because computer is too weak and it's lagging. Once i have filled myself with gaming and re-realized that it isn't +EV i can return to poker.

I'm kind of recovering from my relaps. Haven't played any video games since friday. I guess my vitamins are finally kicking in.

I haven't been focused at tables. As my willpower is restoring then i hope i can improve my focus.

Good thing is that Lads held carnage(?) tourneys. Everyone is given 1 chip and you can go all in with it or fold. When you are on the blinds, then this is automatic all in. There were 4 tourneys and i qualified to 3 of them. Not exactly sure why i got those tickets. Anyway, all those toruneys had around 300 registrants and first 50 got each 50£. So it was kind of huge flippament and i cashed in 2 of them, meaning i totalled 100£, which is really cool.
