Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.20(BB) Replayer
Hero ($7)
BB ($8.09)
UTG ($7.59)
CO ($8.59)
BTN ($12.06)

Dealt to Hero J♦ J♥

UTG raises to $0.40, CO calls $0.40, BTN calls $0.40, Hero ???

All unknows, but I dont think a minraise means UTG has a strong hand. So, I'm thinking of 3-betting here. A 3-bet would be 3* initial raise + 1* for each call + 1 for OOP, which here is 3* 0.40+ 2* 0.40 + 1* 0.40= 2.40.

Wouldn't it be better to shove here immediately? When 1 of them decides to call, pot will be 5.80. This would mean that I have to decide on the flop to go AI with a cbet. Or is JJ not good enough to shove here?

Hey VipKen,

Going all-in directly preflop is better in this spot. You are OOP and if you make a standard raise you are commited to any flop. Besides there's so much dead money in the pot that shoving is ++EV even if noone calls a worse hand.
