BB is a nit. 19/17 57% fold BB to steal.
SB is also nitty. 23/18
CO/blind poster is a fish. 38/3 40% WTSD

Poker Stars $1/$2 Limit Hold'em - 6 players
CO posts 1.5 SB

Pre Flop: (3 SB) Hero is BTN with ?x ?x
2 folds, CO checks, Hero raises

  • Normally, i'd open raise about 55% here with two nitty players in the blinds.
  • Now, with a fish who reps a wide/pretty weak range and twice as much dead money in the pot I think my steal range should be wider.
  • Q: How wide (%) should I open in this situation?
  • Q: What would that range look like? (bonus points for pics of range imo)

With a Fish oop and a good chance to pick up the Blinds i'd really recommend a wide Range. But you gotta be careful somehow as CO just Openraises the Top3 %. What you should do is:

Determine CO's Range in the Equilab and we had a similar discussion in the german strategy forum where we set that you require around 46% Equity with Hands that have a good playability like JTs and around 48% with Hands that have a bad playability.

https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/de/forum/thread.php?threadid=42351

That chart you can take to add or deduct equity, based on the playability. And you gotta consider a loss of 2% Equity being out of Position. Vice versa you gain around 2% Equity by being in Position.

So give CO a Range and run the certain hands like Jx Qx etc and create a range on your own. :)

[x] made hand range. wanted feedback anyways. thanks
