What about his 2nd barrel? If he is still 2nd barreling the same amount then seems to be fine. He may easily even do the 2nd barrel with AK/draws and maybe even worse PPs.

hi in my opinion I like to raise on the flop with top pair, the pot is still not so big and if he reraise all inn you have a clear fold... maybe he has A Q, maybe a set... or maybe just A K.. but raising here on the flop cost you like 80 cent more and he knows that you have something. he bets 40 on the flop and you pay, he bets 1.40 on the turn and you pay so in total you payed 1.80. On the flop if you raise his initial 40 to 1.20 you 3 bet him and if he goes all inn you have a clear fold and you wil pay 60 cent les...I hope that my idea was clear :)) I usually do like this with top pair on a pre flop agressor and usually it works :)))

the thing is he is a very aggressive opp. So i feel i get more value by just calling down, if that makes sense. Vs a tight op i would usually raise though

sorry but I think that it would have worked vice versa, a tight opponent usually has the point but the aggressive one attacks you over and over sometimes with nothing. a 3bet on the flop would have cost 20 cent less and if he continues in his aggression you fold
