okaay disregarding the preflop play (he was stealing a lot), i would like to know whether my play on the flop was acceptable. it's not often that i'm in this situation so i wasn't too sure. i figured since i have 14 outs (not including 1 for the backdoor straight) my equity is pretty good... the only problem is there are a lot of reverse implied odds here as well so i'm not sure.

Hello DrDunne,

Preflop: Well, if he is stealing a lot and most likely even loose opponent then why not just Call and play postflop in a smaller pot.

As played
Postflop: Pretty standard, I am not folding my pair+FD with we have very good equity against any of his range, we might even be ahead.

Best Regards.

ah that's good news

my plan was just to take it down preflop - honestly, i didn't consider postflop for too long before i 3bet - i wasn't expecting him to call. i suppose i was either gunna play with a draw or cbet/fold on the flop if i miss or even check/fold if the board is scary. i must plan my plays a lot more and think ahead.
