Should I call? I think I did a mathematical mistake here by folding.

How can this be a mistake to fold? You just have a draw and you can't even be sure against what hands you are here. Could easily be even not making profit in long run. Really interested in your math view here which tells you to Call it.

He is pushing so I am assuming he is protecting with TP or PP 88-TT.
So I have 2 overs and flushdraw which gives me slightly higher changes of winning than 50%.

Nah, you can't just put him on some mediocre hand, why not put made straights? Sets? Try then. 
And also maybe something like 76 or whatsoever, 2 pairs.
