Is 2nd barrel ok against unknown? What about the sizing? my logic was to risk less, but still generate a big enough pot to shove if i hit 1 of my outs.

Hey enemaze,

This is a bad spot to second barrel. Because of the board all the good second barrel cards would be one of your outs while all the rest don't change the board like the 2 :diamond: in this case which means you don't gain any additional FE and if villain called flop he will most likely call turn as well.

Hey malcolmlinco,

always remember that the strategy is a guideline, not an exact science. The strategy helps you to start playing MSS. But it doesn't mean you just do something because the strategy tells you so. When you play you must also pay attention to the flop, how villain plays, ...

According to MSS, yes, you want to bet/go all-in with a monster draw on the turn. The thing with this hand is you can't be sure whether you have 12 clean outs required for a monster draw, on the other hand, you also don't have any additional FE to make your second barrel profitable. And as last, you have position and can take a free card without any damage. On the other hand if you were OOP bet/broke would probably be better than check/calling or check/raising.
