Hi Guys,
Me again with some annoying questions again, I hope you're happy.:P
I'm known to be a nit capping pre multiway, and I'm trying to loosen up a bit, but not sure where to, so I tried analyzing these spots. I figured out a method doing that, but maybe I'm overthinking or just think in the wrong directions, would like to hear your thoughts on it.
So basically what I do is I put the hands into PPT Hand vs Range Graph Tool Thingy, and look at that on how many flops do I have a clear valuehand (or good equity basically), and on how many flops I'm doomed to get to showdown. Let's use an example:
Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is CO with XX
1 fold, Hero raises, BTN 3-bets, SB calls, 1 fold, Hero ?
I think BU will 3bet around 20% in that spot, and SB being a fish will coldcall with 25% (not including the top5%).
So in that case I'm looking for a graph like this (TT vs the 2 ranges):
or this (AJs):
Both cases I have decent equity on the majority of boards, and therefore I have to get to showdown a ton, but not hating it like I hate with hands such as ATo or 77:
where I have premium equity on just a small % of flops (by small I mean <30%) but have to get to showdown a ton still. I feel these kind of hands have more SD value then pure value, and therefore I want to take them to SD ASAP, and not blowing the pot with them (even if they have a slight equity edge).
So in a nutshell, that's my process, I'd like any feedback, idea, criticism, anything that comes to your mind about it. Also if this method is not a big failure, what thresholds should I be looking at?
I'd really appreciate your answers.
Cheers,
Madi
