Flop: ($3.00) 8♣, Q♥, 5♠ (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3, MP2 calls $3.00, SB folds.

Turn: ($9.00) 5♦ (2 players)
Hero bets $5, MP2 calls $5.00.

River: ($19.00) 5♣ (2 players)
Hero bets $12, MP2 raises to $182.40 (All-In)

unknown villain, 100$ stack.

Am I right in thinking it's usually a split here?

Usually it is.
I even think you win the hand more than you lose it. Fish might have an over pair, a 5 or a set of 8's, but someone who plays like that could also do it on a pure bluff. The latter happens often enough to warrant a call.

i would c/f the turn, because it´s an unraised pot, somebody really could have a hand. as played.
I would c/c the river, becuase i do not think that anything worse would call here.
As played it´s an easy fold, because Villain maight have Quads or bad played KK or AA. I would never call here for a split, it´s not worthy.
