Not that I speak for Barry but I don't imagine it's intended as an insult. It's just the widely-accepted term (not just in poker) for a "newb". It's also easier to type than "recreational player"

In Russian, this term is not used. For example, if "they" call me a fish, I hurt .... Now do not take offense

It was indeed a reference to Sheffield/Arctic Monkeys and probably indicates that I need to cut back on the cryptic crosswords..

I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone as an essential stepping stone. To play without it is to discover that you are trying to climb a ladder that has a couple of missing rungs.

It helped me realise the multi faceted aspects of tilts and which particular areas I needed to address.

One smalll point - I read it on the Kindle, making extensive notes, which are now are collected on my "highlights" page. Given that Kindle users can also see highlights of other readers, I wondered if there could be a way that the authors of such a project could collate the passages that prove to be popular and thus gather insight into players' most common problems.

Well..... everyone can see the highlights, if they have the function turned on. The notes are a bit more murky. It is something I'm looking into for one of my projects - there is more here in a post by science writer Ben Goldacre.

The Kindle is a powerful device in the right hands.....

G'day BC, (If i can call you BC?),
LOVE the podcasts you have done.
Really informative and at times super indepth, giving angles on issues that I have never thought of.
Your knowledge of poker, the industry and past and present trends really comes out in the podcasts.
I guess they are a time consuming thing to do and take quite some preperation and scheduling with your guest's.
I really appreciate them and enjoy them.
