Force player out, or keep in for extra value?

Hi everyone,

I was playing at the local casino and a very interesting hand came up. This handed was not recorded in my HEM, so I can't post it all nicely :f_p: but this is the best I can do. I was playing €1/€3

Key players in the hand:
Me (BU),¬ €230
Agressive SSNL(SB)¬ €100
Swedish guy(UTG) ¬€200

Dealt to me (BU): AdJd
Swedish Guy (UTG) raises to €11 pre. And 4 complete, including myself.

Flop:
8d, Ks, Qc

ALL check
Turn:
10c

SB bets €20
UTG Raises €60
So I've turned the nuts, and I'm put on the spot a little by the previous actions ahead of me. I tanked for quite a while, acting weak but in fact I was considering whether calling or raising is the better option. By calling I probably keep in the flush draws, two pairs and sets. The Swedish raiser could only have AJ or J9 here or he is a fool, which I didn't believe him to be. OR I raise to shut out the draws and therefore securing my cash.

I decided to go all in, SB folds and UTG thinks for what seems an eternity and calls with J9 and I cash.

Was I correct in shutting out the SB? Something else that also worked to my advantage is that I kind of disguise my AJ, by overplaying it in that spot?

Sb have only 70$(13bb) left so its not a big deal. By the way if he hes FD or set he will call weary often, and if the other guy is not weary aggresiv his range is probably 2pair, set, or beater.
So i think you did good pushing all in.

Yes, the river did not complete a flush or pair the board. So that is why I was unsure I guess. The Sb told me he folded 8,10o (two pair) and that is why he was thinking a lot before he folded.

Was just wondering if it is worth it in the long run to make that extra cash by letting a player stay in, because he most likely would have stayed in for €40 more in that spot.

My image on the table was Tight/Agressive. I played few hands, and the hands that I did play I played agressively if I had initiative.

correct in my opinion, the concern isn't so much the small blind as his stack isn't threatening, the problem is more that if you don't push there you could lose value from the raiser. for instance since the j9 could be afraid of the board pairing or the flush if you flat, you may lose value on the river if one of those cards come....best to push there and let him draw for a bad price if he had 2 pair or a set....good push.
