reads: did not 3bet KK vs UTG
Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is MP with J :club: J
1 fold, Hero raises to $1.50, CO calls $1.50, BTN calls $1.50, 2 folds

Flop: ($5.25) 5 :club: 8  9 :diamond: (3 players)
Hero bets $3.93, CO calls $3.93, BTN calls $3.93

Turn: ($17.04) 2 :club: (3 players)
Hero bets $10.00, CO folds, BTN calls $10

River: ($37.04) 3  (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $34.57, Hero folds

What your plan would be when playing a hand? The board is so good to slowplay a hand like 67s or a set, TJ is very unlikely too. I hate check/folding overpair but I think calling would be too optimistic.

Hi,

I think JJ that spot is almost the same than JJ and I doubt you´re going to c/f river AA. Hard to see hands that he is going to call you down so I think river check is fine, just now question is how often he has there set or 67s rather than JT or hand like QJcc (but since you have Jc I think he can´t have that).
Against his range you´re not doing that great:

board: 5c8h9d2c3h
Hand Equity Wins Ties
JcJh 38.10% 8 0
76s, 55,88,99, JT 61.90% 13 0

but since you get 2.1:1 you need only to be ahead 32% which should make it call once you check river.

So giving that you gopt one of the best river cards I think it shouldn´t be unreasonable to c/c against 26/20 player river shove even on 3-way.
