Just wanted to say a big thank you to Poker Strategy for the opportunity it's giving the likes of me!
I'd been playing Poker for fun on the likes of Facebook for ages, and decided to read up and see what I could do to improve. The offer of $50 starting capital, and just for taking a quiz, is a very generous one and one I aim to make the most of.
I already have the $50 in my possession (well, in my new Partypoker account), and the first day's play at 0.01/0.02 NL was going well until my King high flush was beaten because another player had an ace! I was up by $2 until that point.
Still, it has to be said, playing in real money situations is a world away from the 'fun poker' on Facebook etc, but it's a learning curve and I'm having a blast so far.
Hopefully things'll get better as I read up more.
