Well, being even OOP and so deep I'd just fold it preflop. You will rarely even know where you stand vs his 6% 3bet and hard to continue postflop. Most likely wont pay you much either if you do hit.

And I wouldn't really Check/Raise in those spots unless I know that the is capable of folding some overpairs.

BTN who is playing 16/12 on 6max and we are OOP most likely. We just face too many difficult situations playing the hand OOP, trust me. I'd rather have position on the guy, then I might consider Calling.

Well, depends what kind of range do you expect the guy to go broke. Usually he may have a high 3bet range but it doesn't mean that he is also going broke with the same range. 5bet range could easily be KK+ only. And that you also have to find out with overall 4bet range for example.
