your fold is fine, your basically looking to hit your pair otherwise your hand has little showdown value

Hi there MeAmor22,

Nice to see you posting hands, a sure way to improve your game. However, this thread was created in the Discussion Forums, but it should rightfully belong in the hand evaluation forums. (you will see it as a subforum above). I will move it there now. Just want to flag that so you will create it in the proper section next time and so that our awesome hand judges can see it and comment on it :)

Also it helps if you take a look at our hand evaluation rules.

These rules help our hand evaluation forum run more smoothly. Thanks so much for your cooperation. If you have any questions, dont hesitate to let me know ;)

smiles,
wendy

ps my 2 cents about the hand,
it is SB vs BB so i expect his range to be wide. for that reason, it is difficult to tell whether he hits such a flop. tbh, majority of the time, he has missed this. do you know anything about your opponent yet? does he steal a lot?

if this was my hand, i am probably 3betting preflop raising it to 0.18 or something, because i do not really want to see a flop. why?
preflop, any pp like 33 is ahead of 2 random cards from the small blind (unless he has higher pp). post flop will bring us 3 overcards which we wont be happy to see.

as played, i might call once and see:
1. how he acts on turn - does he bet again? does he check?
2. what is the card? if it is a blank, that is good for us.
3. ask yourself, does he always cbet? most players in the micros cbet blindly without a good reason. a 4,5,T board is clearly a bad board to cbet because he does not represent anything.
our hand is now basically a bluff catcher so we want to get to showdown in the cheapest way possible.

folding is not too bad either because you make less mistakes this way. i am just showing other ways to think about the hand and play it. :)

pps i am not a hand judge :f_biggrin:

Hi,

Since you only called pf for set value and you didn´t hit your set I like your fold. Even if he has there overcards he may barrel again and you can´t really do anything.
About your question: depends how tight.

board: 45T
Hand Equity Wins Ties
12% 57.23% 32,379,072 77,760
33 42.77% 24,187,008 77,760

Against tight player you´re behind and should fold.
