Hey, everyone. Today is my lucky day.
I achieved my biggest achievement in poker yet. It probably seems nothing to you, but I'm quite proud of it. I entered a $5.50 tourney on Bwin, and finished 6th out of 899, therefore winning around $160.
Let me tell you about my past. I consider myself a good poker player. So many times I have built my bankroll up to quite a high number, then lost it all due to tilting (going on higher cash games), and even more often I lost it all due to playing blackjack, roulette, or slots.
I believe that if I would play ONLY poker, I would be a profitable player, but playing side games I'm probably still on the negative side. Today after winning $160, I instantly felt the urge to play some blackjack. And yes, I did play it (stupid me !!!!!). However, I have won an additional $80 at poker, so my total profit today stands at around $250 already.
I'm playing blackjack with the martingale system. I play 3 hands at the same time, and if I lose any of them, I double that one in the next round. So far, it worked. But I know deep down in my heart, there will be a time I will lose $30 at poker, feel the urge to win it back fast with BJ, then lose the whole bankroll there, and then feel like making a suicide.
So, can someone here PLEASE tell me that blackjack really is a game that I will eventually lose at? Is there a way Bwin can only block you from playing side games, but not from poker?
I'm such a retard. Even if I tell myself I would never play blackjack again, I just feel there will be a time I will open the damn game again. Almost sounds like I could use some help.
