Hi guys i was wondering if anyone can help me, ive just got a new lap top and cant figure out how to transfer my hand histories from old to new laptop (approx 15k hands) . I have searched the HEM web site but cant seem to find a guide to show me. I have an external hard drive, is there any thing else i need to do this. A step by step guide would be perfect as i not very good at that type of thing, any ideas where i can find a guide like this, thanks

You just go under sessions, group them by month, show all hands and then right click on one of the hands and then select export all hands to hard drive. You will get a text files that you can then import on your new comp.

Manual import IMO

But shouldn't it be best just to backup and restore whole database?

Just put them in one of your HM import folders that you select on the first page of HM.

HM archives original handhistories in a archive folder like c:\hmarchive.
The easiest way to get them to a new computer or database is to copy this folder to the new system and import the hands via import file/folder.
