You have definately come to the right place if you are serious about making a living from the game, some good advice is make sure you practise good bankroll management. A lot of people learn the hard way about this it can only take a few hands to lose your entire bankroll if you dont follow bankroll management.
Another good piece of advice would be to make a lot of friends who play poker so you can motivate each other to succeed so get stuck into the forum and get to know people

i myself play cash games and it's saved my arse plenty of times as well.
i would recommend reading lessthanthree's blog, which documents his SNG rise from microstakes to pro. i think it is quite inspiring, and you might pick up a few tips and tricks too

ou could also take a look on the psychology articles and videos. They will help you to develop a good poker mindset and also deal with some problems that you'll surely face sooner or later (ex:tilt)!
