Seems to be fine but most likely I'd still CB ~$2 and not make it to look very week. Another possibility would be just to play for the set value preflop if we expect the opponent being bad enough for it to pay us postflop easily with TP.

Not it 3bet pot. For me the normal size CB would work the same way. They ain't floating so easily in 3bet pots.
