JQ on the bubble

Hello,

I haven't been playing poker very often for the past year since I don't have time at all. When I get the chance to play, I am not using poker trackers at all since the stats means nothing given the circumstances.
I would be more than happy if you could discuss the below hand anyway, based on my description.

Buy-in: 2$ + R
TURBO
Players: 160
Prizes: 1-6th 215$ ticket
7th - 9$
--------------------------------------
Players left: 8, I am placed 3rd.
Blinds: 2K/4K

SB stack (hero) - 40K
BB stack - 60K
Short Stucks are sitting with 20 & 25K.

Heros' hand - JQ

Question number 1: 6 players fold, SB?
Question number 2: assuming u r the BB and SB is pushing, what range r u calling?

I know that a lot of important details are missing - such as stats, short stacks positions, etc. Please refer to the given information.

Thank you very much in advance.

hi there,

ive moved your hand to the mtt evaluation boards.

im not a hand judge nor icm expert but with 15bb behind, with 2 short stacks in the game who have < 4bb, and no increase in payouts (1st to 6th pays the same) then its a rather easy fold for me. in this spot i think i would fold everything except premiums. more questions i would ask myself: is sb abusing the bubble and stealing a lot? or is he still playing tight in general? in summary, i think fold is more +ev thing to do. you are behind any Ax or Kx for example which are std sb shoving ranges.

smiles,
wendy

Considering the limited data u have provided, I would advise a fold in this spot. Ur range would have to be extremley tight and u shouldn't be pushing anything here, except for QQ+.

BBs calling range should be KK+.
