When in position and 200 bets deep I much prefer calling preflop and outplaying opponents than making 3 bets with this type of hand, because typically if UTG 4 bets we have to fold.

We can be up against hands that dominate us (AAxx, AKQx etc) and don't have enough left post flop to overcome this penalty.

I would much prefer to 3 bet a hand like 3456 against an UTG raiser when 200 bets deep than a hand like AQT9 as it's more likely to be live if villain 4 bets (if villain doesn't then we can rep AA quite easily post flop).

Obviously flop is an easy shove and you were just super unlucky here, but preflop is very loose with the 4 bet call. Not knowing UTG's stats affects the correct answer as well.
