Hello jeszkar,

Nah, it's not a huge mistake to even give up the hand. Since a lot of 2pair combos and even flush/straights are possible there. So ain't a mistake. But now again that would also depend on the opponent, against some I'd just Bet the turn and might even play for the stacks if I see him having very wide preflop calling range.
