Better play in this situation?

I would check-fold, if player is not pretty bad. Problem is that flop is very dry. What hands is villain likely playing like this? If he is decent I don't really see weaker hands in his range. If he is some spewy maniac then it is way better to check-call and let him continue his bluffs.

If he is passive kind or unknown then betting flop around half pot is best, but still fold to raise and be careful on future streets.

Sorry this was my first post... will put the results in the spoiler section from now on

I didn't particularly like my all-in call. The guy took around 40 seconds of timebank and then shoved. (probably "trying" to make it look like a tough decision). I don't think this influenced my decision by much.

Would a decent player generally 3-bet there on the flop with a middle or bottom pair?

What he would try to achieve with such 3bet? Is it for value or bluff? What hands he would then try to get value from or what better hands he would try to fold?

Same question apply here for hero flop raise. What weaker hands give action? Well from your question I can assume you think to get action from worse pairs, but that would be quite a overplay of those hands from villain. That also make your raise overplay of your top pair. Now I don't know how villains play in 5$ dons in ipoker, but those are default assumptions.

PS: Obviously villain won't likely have 2x or 4x often in his preflop calling range so smaller pairs would mostly be only pocket pairs.
