Just ran into some recreational players at a final table..

3 Spanish players vs me.

Folding around to each other, making plays at me. After I eliminated one they started berating me through chat, making insulting remarks.

Next hand I get it in with K/10 vs 9/10 and bust in 3rd after he catches a 9 on the river :( They start cheering and insulting me.

But yeah that was the worst ever. I felt really tilted and annoyed that some Spanish punks were having a go at me through chat. 888 Poker as well so can't disable chat :( (or I haven't figured it out)

Anyone else experience such things?

Isn't "vamos vamos" only a spanish expression? Not sure if it means the same in portuguese.

OK, first of all, enough with blaming "recreational players". I'm not even going to get into who is and who isn't a recreational player. Just playing $5 SnGs all day doesn't make you a pro. And I don't know if you've heard, but poker is actually a game. And they were treating it like a fun game, and you should be grateful for that.

Anyway, if, despite being a poker pro, you can't handle a few jokes and a couple of insults, next time click on "Options" under the chatbox and uncheck "Show player's messages".

It's portuguese, I don't know if spanish uses it too. Brazilians usually just say "vamo vamo" (without the 's') though.
