so after losing a couple of 50$ roles i wanted to take poker serious. I shot in another 50 $ and lost 10 of them pretty quickly on stupid play on NL50 FR, so i get frustrated and go to a 1/2$ FR table with my remaining 40$ xD stupid? Appearently god thinks otherwise.
I ended up with 294,90$ after not really any lucky laydowns, just good play and ofc some luck on flops.
So now i actually rly want to take it serious^^. any suggestions what limit i should play? It seems im much better at 0.5/1 than 0.25/0.5 for some reason

Definitely sit at 50/100 FL, people are so bad there and you always get odds!

thank u for some actual advice instead of that stupid "stay at the lower limits".
Ill go to a 1K FR table asap

No wonder you lose all money. Is so hard to red bankroll management?

I guess im not going to win any popularity contests by throwing in the "You only have a bankroll for NL10 at the moment" phrase? :)

In all seriousness though - if you want to acutally give poker a "serious shot" you're not going to get around bankrollmanagement. Even 4-5 Stack BRM is nothing but gambling. A 15-30 Stack BRM is the bordering minimum for a 'safe climb up the limits'.

So.. yes my answer to your original question: NL10 if you're actually serious about it ;) A good enough player should have no problem quickly climbing to NL25 and onwards.

ty for the words Soy :) i was kidding about going to the 1k table but i gotta admit that i went to the 1/2 again with 40 $. This time i walked away with 230 xD. (i did lose/cash out the previous 300 so my roll is now 240 or so), will i ever learn
The problem is i don't have time to grind, though i think i'd be good at it. I have to use too much time studying. Hoping to grind in the summer holidays :)

then cashout, buy beer/weed/school supplies, and re-deposit in the summer, rather than gambling your BR

...or you could send it to me. whatever.

I agree. Join an NL1000 table , post your blind , push the slider all the way to the right and press the GAMB00OOOOO00L button.
After you double up, you have enough to play NL2000.

bad advice... why to waste time grinding stupid NL1K? Cashout -> deposit on Mansion -> buy-in 10BB on NL 2K -> push
and if you get lucky, you need only $50 to qualify for NL 5K!
