Question 3: What does it mean to play tight aggressive?
To play tight aggressive means to minimize your losses while carefully maximizing your winnings. You minimize your losses by pre-selecting the hands you would actually play and go forward with while avoiding hands that will put you in troublesome positions. Carefully maximizing your winnings is attained through taking actions that result to +EV such as well placed and well-sized bets/raises/re-raises, necessary folds even with a strong starting hand, and tactically placed checks and pushes. It works because you minimize the possibility of putting yourself in trickier positions such as where you hold a mediocre hand compared to your opponent's and increases your chances of winning with well-thought of actions depending on how the board turns out
