SB checks, Hero bets t300, MP1 calls t300 (pot was t720), 3 folds.

Turn: Q :diamond: (t1020, 2 players)
Hero is all-in t1310, MP1 folds.
Uncalled bets: t1310 returned to Hero.

is turn bet ok? it was a very drawy board... wanted to protect the aces and take the pot then if possible... was thinking if i bet around 600, would likely have to call the river since more than half my stack is in already...
how should i have played this hand?

nh, but i like 600 on the turn/call a push, or 600 on the turn, and psuh any river. 600 is enough to protect, and has less FE, which is what you want, because you most likely have the best hand. Thereby, 600 could also induce a bluff.

Next time, plz post the limit too, so we can judge villains' skill level a bit better.

hmmm ok. tnx nick. this was $2+0.25 tourney (around 300 players i think). i've experienced villains at this level who are willing to call down any flush/straight draw unless threatened with all their chips... so that was my rationale for shoving instead of betting the 600... was thinking i was risking my tournament life if i let them draw out... i certainly thought i was ahead when i made the bet but after the river, someone could complete their flush/straight. maybe i was being a bit too careful/tight?

next time: take the risk, and if he wins on the river, than you go to the mtt menu, and start another one. Thats why brm is so great!
