Make sure you have postgre server running (go to start menu, the appropriate folder and click start server, shutdown server when done). You can also try restarting the computer and/or reinstalling the Postgre if you believe the install went wrong somehow. Also make sure you have all firewalls and such allowing Elephant and postgre to communicate with your computer.
