Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with A A
UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to $0.20, 5 folds, SB calls $0.18, BB folds

Should I check behind on the turn to keep the pot small or should I bet to protect my hand?

River: ($1.05) 3 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.55, SB folds

Results: $1.05 pot ($0.05 rake)
Final Board: 5 T 9 5 3
SB mucked and lost (-$0.50 net)
Hero mucked A A and won $1 ($0.50 net)

You should allways bet for protection and value there!
If he had sets or 2 pair, he will reraise you on the flop himself for protection. Even if a good heart hit (that doesn't complete a straight or is very likely to make him 2 pair), I would probably bet again for protection and free showdown!

Hi maheepsangari,

i would bet turn and river myself.

You play vs fish with only half of the stack so your plan has to be to put all his money on the table:)

On the turn you just gave him a free card and this is exactly what u don't want vs players like that. He will call your bet here with any draw and any Tx hand maybe even 9x hand so bet bet bet:)

Hello maheepsangari,

Being against such a fish I'd Bet the flop even bigger ~$0,40 even. :) And definitely bet the turn for protection and value from worse, way too weak to take pot control in that kind of spot.
