Hi, Nocco88!

What a weird spot.

It depends a lot on the villain. How was he playing thus far?

If he is too passive/bad I might indeed fold turn. That because he might call pre with all sorts of Ax type of hands that hit two pairs now, plus low pocket pairs - summed to the fact that a check/raise by a very passive player usually means strength. So he could have anything here, from two pairs to sets and straights.

That said, vs. many other more aggressive opponents I'd play just as you did and bluffcatch. His bets make no sense whatsoever, and people's 3bet calling ranges wouldn't often hit that board except for AQ/AJs type of hands - which we beat.

Hello Nocco88,

Why do you bet in first place on the turn? Do you think he has there a lot of Ax hands which could be paying? What about worse PPs, do you ever think he is paying with them turn & river? Do you need to protect on turn?

I tend to Check behind on the turn as well to get value from a lot worse hands on the river. If you do bet the turn then practically you should be doing it for value and there is no way you should consider folding it.

Best Regards.

Okay, I understand. Really, there isn't too much value on the turn. Thanks for the evaluations. :)
