0.50/1 No-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: Texas Grabem 1.9 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J♥, A♥
MP2 folds, Hero raises to $4.00, 2 folds, SB calls $3.50, BB folds.

Flop: ($9.00) 6♥, 4♦, 2♥ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $6, SB raises to $15.00, Hero raises to $42.00, SB calls $27.00.

Turn: ($93.00) Q♥ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($93.00) K♥ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $54 (All-In), SB folds.

Final Pot: $147.00

Had two options, fire on the turn and hope he calls with what appears to be a midpair (my money's on 33 or 55), or checkbehind and hope the river isn't another heart and he'll fire or at least call (bummer).

I would bet on turn. They rarely believe you have the flush, plus it seems he likes to see the showdown.

but why 3-bet the flop? you're getting over 3:1 odds, and you're in position against a possible set. I call the flop and bet ~2/3 pot on the turn.

As played, shove the turn. He'll still call with a set, any other hand is unlikely to hit enough to call all-in, so there's no point in slowplaying imo

I disagree :O . On such a situation where i have big overcards and flush draw , i always wanna put my money in on the flop. No reason to slowplay turn as many cards can kill your river action , or he gets his FH if he has a set and you have to call his donk all in when you are behind.

Ok ... I freeze often enough when I hit a flush I drew too agressively.

I also do this against aggressive players, but when a 16/4 nit check/raises a low flop, are you sure it's a good idea to shove?

Its hard to make any sense from the broken grabem stats ,but i think an aggressive nit doesnt necessarily have a set there , he can have a draw himself , an overpair , and i think if you add some fold equity in there you can play for stacks on flop. The problem with calling is that you dont get the odds to call a turn bet anymore if you dont hit , plus if you hit he might get scared and not put any more chips in.

Oh yeah, and ship me my dollar
