In your opinion what are the best attributes to have to be a successful poker player?
In my opinion one of the top attributes is Discipline.

Look at things in terms of BB's instead of $$$
Dont make loose calls cause its only $2. At the same time dont play like a super nit cause its $600.
Its still 100bb 
Its worked pretty bad for me, cause now whenever I go to buy anything im like LOL £200 on xxxx its only 1 buyin (small brag)

Being lazy doesn't go too well with poker, but social awkwardness, now that's a motivation for nerds to make money playing poker so they would never have to leave their basement again

I think the laws of success in life can be applied to poker as well. It always starts with a strong mindset.
Check this article out: Poker Mindset.
It talks about being intrinsicly motivated, setting goals (focus, direction) and being committed.
I have a view that you should treat playing poker like a professional athelete. Of cause it isnt quite the same, but having that mindset will get you far in anything in life.
