No solid news on this afaik.
They had slated late January/early Feb but it's not gone back to late Feb/early March

All I know is that there is a folder in the PokerStars Directory called "Blitz" with an image in there with "Welcome to Zoom"
Its called Blitz, or Zoom? lol
i think originally it was supposed to be called blitz, but people weren't too happy about it as it made them think of blitzkreig (which apparently is a tactic or something the nazis used?)

Apparently its renamed to zoom because too many people thought blitz was a WW2 reference.
Go to
C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Gx\label
Youll find blg.png, a picture showing ZOOM with the spade logo.
C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Gx\blitz
a 'welcome' picture saying welcome to zoom.
yeah why on earth can't they just call it Rush Poker.
FTP just has to ruin everything... first they f up everyones roll, now we can't even call something what it is.
No doubt the software will be awesome because yeno, its PokerStars... but for now Zoom Poker sounds pretty lame....
Maybe they'll create some awesome adverts so I'll come around.

FullTilt could have sold the right of Rush to Stars.
Fulltilt gets Cash.
Stars Gets Rush.

yeah I'm gonna check out the PokerCast... they always have PokerStars Steve D on and I kinda think they'll have something about it there.

Its one of the main selling points of the FT platform. Without it, their business is likely to be devalued a lot. Also, Stars probably wouldnt be that bothered about spending a decent bit of cash just to get the name when they can call it something else and keep the cash.
