Hello MancaMulas,

Most likely I would just 3bet it right on the flop, you are just giving him free card for the turn where he could hit. But as played yes, I would definitely protect my hand and do it for free showdown.

I don't care, we may get value from 99/TT/8x/FD and therefore I am protecting my hand. You are practically giving him a free card there. Neither he wont have that many 2x hands in his range.
