Not sure if it's a good idea even to CB here while not knowing much about the opponent here. Most likely I'd tend to Check it behind cause you ain't making any better hand to fold.

But otherwise seems to be fine, I like the idea of Checking the turn.

I wouldn't cbet there either. I think he's range is pretty much all pocket pairs since he could be set mining us (hes getting the right odds).

Question: Let's say we cbet as planned and we get that A in the turn. We are only getting 1 street of value anyway vs his range. Should we check this turn and bet high in the river like 3/4?

Reviewing this particular hand I think the thin value/ block bet from the villain is kinda genius, if he has QQ hes still value betting us -JJ and folding to any raise easly.

Should we try to anticipate agaisn't his potencial blockbet by betting the turn in this hypothetical discussion?

Well, that would mainly depend on the opponent. Does the opponent think that we are capable of bluffing this way by 2nd barreling? Could he be calling loos? Either Check behind & trap or Bet for value.

Whatever it is, it could easily be also a trap like with JJ, there is no way we can raise him anyways here and not many worse hands would pay.
