AJo - pref play and river value raise?

you get value from 910, 65, any a and sometimes even 99, 10/10, jj -> because if he calls those hands on 1st ace -> he is probably calling it against the 2nd ace too!

check behind to induce a bluff is also ok -> but you need to know if your player is able to do something like that!

Thx, that makes sense what about these points, could you give me some specifics?:

1. Is it an acceptable (or even standard?) play pref w/AJo in middle position?
3. And btw, if he 3bets here pref with 3B of 14% - should I call ???

depends on 3bet-sizing if you still have some fe if you shove -> but aj is def. boarderline against a 3bet here!
with a antes and a lose table an openshove would be ok too!

i prefer checking the flop than the turn. If he called you on the flop, the turn doesn't change too much, that A makes you having an A less likely, which is good. There's also now also a flush draw so i bet for protection/value.

Checking the flop would be to induce some turn+river bluffs and to allow him to get something on the turn (most players won't put you on an A if you check the flop. it's a bit dangerous but i personally like it. I would prefer a flop without any straight possibilities though.

I like raising the river for value, if he shoves it sucks, but you can still take a lot of value here from worst hands
