$22 AKo fold?

Does anyone ever fold in this spot? (I didn't but would like to know about others). My thinking here is, he is never going to be superwide here from HJ with a couple of shorties behind him. Furthermore his range has a lot of PPs in it, so we will be racing quite a lot. Point 3: we have a good stack setup here because we can pwn him relentlessly from the SB, which is good for a lot of future EV spots.

The villain pushing is a reg, but just semi-decent. His stats 16/12 over 11k.

Hero (BB): t2180 M = 5.45
UTG: t2490 M = 6.22
CO: t490 M = 1.23
BTN: t990 M = 2.48
SB: t1350 M = 3.38

Pre Flop: (t400) Hero is BB with K :diamond: A :club:
UTG raises to t2470 all in, 3 folds, Hero calls t1960 all in

I have been in this mindset before with same thoughts as you. Try not to level yourself too much. He should be shoving a ton of worse Ax as well so most of the time you have a flip or much better.

Fold would be bad, imo - i.e. you get exploited in manner of speaking.

Still 2 off the bubble so we don't have to be too risk averse even though we are 2nd.

Nh.

i never fold there. I dont expect him to shove JJ+ and AK there so we crush his range. Also not sure if he`s gonna shove 22-55 there. I put him on smthin like AT-AQ KQ 66-TT /55-JJ/

u guys need to check the ICM on this. its JJ+ vs a reasonable range with these stacks

You mean Pet and me, or OP, or all of us? I thought OP plays 5max turbos on Ongame with 70:30 structure.

If so,

http://www.holdemresources.net/hr/sngs/icmcalculator.html?action=calculate&bb=200&sb=100&ante=0&structure=0.7%2C+0.3&s1=2490&s2=490&s3=990&s4=1350&s5=2180&s6=&s7=&s8=&s9=

UTG nash push is 24.3%; BB nash call is ATo+/77+. UTG would have to be a lot tighter than Nash before we can start folding AK here.

I think this raises an important point (regardless of whether I'm right about what OP plays or the correct push/call ranges): Title of threads must make structure clear. We can't expect the judge to know if this is one off bubble on a FR game or 5 max or 6 max or w/e. Judge has enough hands to review without having to guess what we are playing.

Thx

This is 5max - I don't think I can ever find a fold here with AKo

UTG is not pushing Nash here, I'm certain about that. However, he has to be pushing less than 10% to make this a fold, which I agree, is too tight.

You are right Tim, I usually put it in the thread title, but sometimes I forget.

And yeah it is 5max.

Aint that too tight? I think most of the ppl will raise in his spot with at least KK+ to try to induce. Even if they shove that and shove smthin like 12-13% / that is tight too / we can call AQ and 99 and they are both like +1%. I would call here at least AQ and 88 unless utg is ultra nit and shoves KK+ /QQ+/ in this spot,

2%-10% - AQo is -0.43
2%-7% - AQo is -1.88
2%-12% - AQo is 0.68

this is very sensitive to ranges because of the stack set-up. if villain is shipping KQs/55 types then AQ is a healthy call. if hes on a more 'standard' tight range of something like AK 77-JJ then AQ is a very -EV call.
