Hi, 0744379.

Interesting spot.

To be honest, I wouldn't like my hand enough either to bet into two people on the flop or to call river.

Flop: We have two people who could easily have a T or J and obviously won't fold. But even if they have a flush draw or a straight draw with overcards (any card higher than 8) they might even be the favourite to win the hand (since by the river they will have hit the draw or at least a pair). Worse of all, we don't even have position, meaning we can't control the size of the pot and might be in a very bad spot should one of the players become aggressive.

River: As played you turned your 88 into a bluff, which is sort of fine. The opponent might have folded a weak T type of hand. However, I myself am not ever check/calling the river against an unknown - especially at these limits. So I'm only doing that if I have reads that that villain in specific will bluff river way too often and check back Qx and Tx type of hands.
