BTN: $13.35 (133.5 bb)
SB: $4.05 (40.5 bb)
BB: $10.30 (103 bb)
Hero (MP): $11.61 (116.1 bb)
CO: $13.11 (131.1 bb)

BB 21/18/1.7AF/20WTS/~100hands
should i even bother cbetting this type of board with unknown flop tendancies? its unlikely hit his range well but i dont rep much & he probably doesnt fold much, so i was 50/50 whether to bet or not

on the river is there any value in betting?
hardly ever worse Ax shows up, also i dont think hes calling the turn with just one pair on that board since the A is a scare card.
Also FD missed so maybe im just spewing?
i just cant think of many worse hands that will c/c 3 streets

Preflop: Hero is MP with 8♥ A♥
Hero raises to $0.35, 3 folds, BB calls $0.25

Flop: ($0.75) 5♠ 2♣ 7♣ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.50, BB calls $0.50

Turn: ($1.75) A♠ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1, BB calls $1

River: ($3.75) A♦ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.75, BB calls $1.75

Spoiler

Results: $7.25 pot ($0.33 rake)
Final Board: 5♠ 2♣ 7♣ A♠ A♦
BB showed 2♠ 2♥ and won $6.92 ($3.32 net)
Hero showed 8♥ A♥ and lost (-$3.60 net)

I think cbet flop is fine
I would cb turn bigger
and rather just check behind on river, since he's 21/18
and there isn't that many Ax hands that we dominate and that he would flat pre flop, usually ATs+ AJ+ but the question is what's his fold to cbet stats
since it's hard to say if he can fold AQ+ on flop or will float you even out of position.

+ I don't think he can make hero call on river whit 88 - JJ since nut flush draw hands did get trips .

Pre Flop: Standard open raise nothing much to say here.
Flop: I would just check behind. There is nothing to represent and your opponent will call often here giving you no information about his hand at all.
Turn: Since you bet on the flop I would just check the turn to induce a bluff from him on the river with worse pairs. He often will have a hand like 66,88-TT etc. that he will bluff on the river with.
River: Betting here is not that good of an idea. You really need to be careful with your weak aces. If your opponent has an ace he will dominate you because it's unlikely that is capable of calling with a worse ace. So I would just check behind here and even fold if opponent bets out. suddenly on river when you have shown aggression on flop and turn.

All in all I would just play this hand really passively checking the flop then checking turn and river. Your opponents is quite passive so he rarely bets as a bluff.

if he bets 88 - TT that isn't bluff he is doing that for value.

+ we need to protect our hand from draws on turn so bet turn =)

Hi,

I don´t see reason why we should bet flop as bluff and also protect our hand against draws or just free cards, turn bet for value is also fine and since river doesn´t change anything I´m happy to go for value. If he is suspicious he may call us down medium pp-sa nd he may also have there worse Axcc hands

best regards,

"If he is suspicious" well 20 wts doesn't look like he is so suspicious and I can't see any indications why we should think he is suspicious ?

+ would be great to know his 3bet against steal since 21/18 looks decant could be 3betting low suited Ax hands pre flop.
