$1 STT stab at the flop

Why do you bet? Cant bet to bluff because better hands wont fold. So you bet because you want value from draws. Too thin imo. Kx is too often in his range. With your draw and showdown value i'd rather float. Or just c/f.

Imho pockets are a much larger part of his range. And they fold to our bet.
I bet to get pockets out and to try and get value from draws, which this opponent is likely to play passively = cheap showdown.

Donk bet is fine. You don't really try to fold better hands (outside of some better A high) or if he does fold those to one bet then great. Problem with check-call is that future streets will be difficult to play so I don't like to check-call even if I assume villain would be stabbing flop quite often. We can't really take much of heat with our A high and even villain bluff range will have good equity versus us.

So benefit of donking is that we might get pot down right away and fold most of villain hands that still has good equity. Personally I don't like to make these plays without some good outs, but here it's fine with gutshot and A is also decent out.

Half pot donk bet is enough.
