soooooo Hello to everyone and welcome to my blog.

I'm Alex, i'm 22 yo physics student and i come from Greece. You know this beautiful country with the beautiful sun etc etc and so many empty wallets.

Let's talk about poker now. i started poker 4 or 5 years ago just for fun with friends and kinda liked it a lot. so 3 years ago i decided to get into the world of poker. a friend of mine told me about Full Tilt poker and how awsome it is.So i created an account and deposited 30$. ofc my knowledge at this time was zero. deposited 30$ and started playing some cash FR NL5. ofc it was just out of BRM but back then i didnt even know what BRM means. so after a couple of days i was broke. redeposited 20$ and gave my luck another chance. managed to build a 200$ BR out of NL2,NL5 and 18 and 27man SnGs.i cashed out my 50$ and tilted the remaining 150$ @Rush poker.so i was broke for 3rd time. after about a month i decided to get more serious and googled for poker sites, training sites etc. and here comes pokerstrategy! i gotta admit that this site changed the word "Poker" in my mind. So after registering on PS, i read a lot of basic+bronze articles and deposited 50$ on FT again. managed to build it to 150$ from NL2 FR and then switched to 9-man SnG and some mixed rush to end up with an about 400$ BR locked in full tilt. yeap that's FULL TILT for me. and those money were very important to me. anyways i got my starting capital at PartyPoker and managed to grow it to 100$. then i was bored of their software and got my BR to pokerstars where i had already an account (didnt even know how long ago and couldnt be tracked from PokerStrategy.com :f_cry: )

i started grinding the 1.5$ 9-man turbos and mix it up with some NL2,NL5 FR and grew it up to 220$. then i had to cash out 170$. so i found myself with a 50$ BR again! took a break and after some months started again but without such volume. i started playing 0.5$ 45/90-man turbos till about 90$ BR then took a break again and here we are again.

so by this time i have read all bronze and silver articles on the site and watched a lot of bronze and silver videos. i bought me the poker mindset book which i have only completed only the 1 chapter and then stoped reading it. don't know why. lack of motivation for poker maybe.

till now there are two big debates in my head about what type of SnG do i want to play. so after some thoughts i decided that:

#1:
i can't stand turbos' variance. after #874 tourneys 1.75$ Turbos Net Winnings: -44.5$ , EV: +33.88$ . thats about 78$ gap.

So i'm gonna stick to regulars.

#2:
it is about STT or MTT (45/90/180)
again variance changed my mind and i decided to start with 9man and maybe if i feel comfortable enough can sometime switch to 90 and 180.

about a month ago i tried to contact with <3 and bigniux to see if they could help me decide what type it's best for me but had no luck. didnt got any answer @Skype

so the reason i started this blog is
1) to motivate me and give me strenght to grind and give volume.
2) to track my progress.
3) to give/get advice/help from fellow stategists.

i'm not gonna put march goals just because there are some family issues and right now im at my parents' house for a couple of days.

My Setup is 1 Dell 23" 1920x1080 Wide (i was on the poker break when i bought it and it was a mistake i should buy the 24inch so that i could tile 9 tables without overlaping) and a LG 22" wide TV/Monitor. i usually tile 6 tables on dell and another 4 on LG for a total of 10 tables. will try manual resizing on dell to fit 9 tables so i can Multitable 13 tables.

to start with, i want from you guyz to suggest me material to read. anything. Books, videos, articles. anything that could help me improve my game and make me feel comfortable. i don't feel like reading again the silver articles (which i did long time ago) so i need new material. im thinking of buying SnG Strategy by Moshman. what's your opinion ? Will it help me ?

so my 1.5$ SnG Graph so far is like this :

a fast update.

Recently i download Table Ninja. Didnt even imagined how helpful this program is. Especially the preflop bet/raising system with limpers etc etc. Totally saves the hell of time when u multitable. Gonna try to make some $ with this and buy it when i can afford.

My last session:

Sick session Today.

Played 31 tourneys , 9.8% ROI , 48,4% ITM
2x 1rst
8x 2nd
5x 3rd

Most and sickest bad beats ever happened to me. So many two outers vs me. i wonder how i didnt tilt.

anyways

Profit: 4.56$ ( 6-7 BI under EV)

Also played MicroMillions event #52 1$ NL

Most card dead tourney ever. i was always surviving through double ups when i was about 10 BBs
i had to push my 5BB stack from CO with A9o and SB woke up with AQo
9 on flop and Q on that magic river.

anyways came 571rst out of 23373. i proud of me although i think the payout sucks a lot. 5 hours for 6$ :P

Hi, mate!

Didn't see this before, i'm glad you decided writing it. Subscribed.

C'mmon what's that about loosing motivation?

We've got so much work to do!

Go to eval forum, resolve hands before judges do. Watch videos, read a book from Colin... If you lack material, switch to different room so you can be tracked here and get new material.

Silver videos are must, they changed my game!

Need any help, just ask i'll try my best to help you!

Best of luck at the tables!

yeah 1rst subscriber! \m/ :P

welcome sir, ofc i will go to eval forum. about silver videos, i've watched all silver videos till last year but i guess there is more new material lately that i should see. i'm definetely buying collins book but right now my real life BR is almost the same as my poker BR so things are tough.

i want to buy SnG Wizard and Table Ninja too , costs are about 180$. too many $$ i know :P

my PokerStars acc isn't tracked by pokerstrategy so my plan is like this:
when trials of TableNinja and Wizard end im switching to betfair, then 888 for the 100% and then maybe come back at BadBeatStars.

gl at tables too

hey mate great effort with all the hands and everything

but try and not go so much into results, especially daily ones - they don't matter, they can be way off the mark in either direction (-$$ or +$$).

so my advice is focus on the decisions, review and post your hands and you'll be skyrocketing through those micros.

best
Matt

Hi mate, thanks.

i'm not result oriented and definetely not tilting. but i become a little dissapointed.

on turbos after 900 games i had -44$ and about 50 under EV. anyways. gonna rock them and climb up the stakes for sure. it just needs time and effort.

So today's session started so so so so bad and so so so sick. had too many bad beats from runner runner cards and go so mad. good thing is it didnt affect my play. i didn't tilt and i'm surprised i played so good. i feel i played perfect today except 1-2 big mistakes i did.

so i have some questions to begin:
1)what we do when 30/8 guy miniraises UTG and we have AQs for example blinds 100/200 and stack about 3K, clearly a fold ?
2)what do we do vs mini3bet early. 90->150 , 150->250 vs donks?

like this one

ah forgot something. i switched to HM1 from HM2 cause HM2 was too laggy/bugy/and was showing wrong results sometimes.
one thing i miss from HM2 is the mark hand system where i could categorize hands. for example "for review" "badbeat" etc. is there any way to do this on HM1 cause when i want to update my blog and post hands to eval forum i go to mark hands but in there there are badbeats and tough spots and i just lose a lot of time to organize and post them.

today i didnt play at all. it was a beautiful sunny day here, exactly what you want for barbeque ^_^ . i came home late . i will watch 1-2 vids and go to bet.

i just want to mention that i feel comfortable and i'm happy about my play so far. and i have a strong will to grind more. so 2mr will give a good amount o volume. prolly about 60 SnGs.

Also i have some questions. it's about multitabling with table ninja.
1) sometimes program bugs and when i bet, it bets the pot (on flop for example) or preflop the betsize is wrong. its not too often. about 1/15 times. but its kinda annoying especially if you are in an interesting spot. does anyone else face the same ? how can it be fixed?

2) i only have 1 bet button and i know its wrong and i must find a comfy way to have more betsizing buttons. ex: when the board is drawheavy i should cbet about 3/4 pot to not give the pot odds for a draw call. for dry i want about 50-60% for cbet. what is the best configuration for table ninja ? i want someone experienced multitabler to help me.

P.s i have to admit that the hardest part of the sng for me is when im about 17BB on the mid game and i have a decent hand to open the pot. i dont feel much comfortable cause open+cbet(when need) is about 2.5BB+3BB ~ 5.5BB and if my opponent hits and i have to fold i end up with a ~12BB stack. how can i fix this "leak" ?

threadsaver song ^^

Sunday seems the best day for me. wasn't that reg infested and some regs played really really bad. i was like "DAFUQ U CALLING DUDE ?". saw too many bad calls from tight guyz. maybe they were drunk. i dont have other excuse.

anyways here are the stats.
Games: 31 (I was hoping for about 60 games today but i couldn't. had some work and i think 30-40 normal STTs are the cap for me. i get tired. they take too long to finish if you are ITM)
ROI:29.8%
ITM:48.4%
Profit: 13.88$ (Hell yeah. totally rocked them)

BankRoll: 109.04$

session started with a 2 outer cooler AAvsKK guess the river :P

but finally im too happy about my play. i did a couple of mistakes and some missclicks too but nevermind.

i was surprised when i 3bet shove a donk w 99 and i got a call from a multitabler with decent stats. he showed 44. i loled so hard ^_^ then checked he's ROI and he is like -2%. noted "bad reg"

here is the hand

wow... small.... update...

short session today and im dissapointed about that volume but i didnt got enough sleep and i feel tired to grind. i want to be fresh when grinding.

anyways it seems like i'm on a heater.

Games played: 11
ROI: 61.8%
ITM: 63.6%
Profit: 10.20$
BankRoll: 119.24$

i was kinda surpised for so many ITM places. i start to play solid game and starting to crush this limit. but ofc sample is small.

the good thing ofc is that i feel comfortable. i dont tilt even with the sickest badbeats. and my game and mindset are ready to crush

i think the only way to tilt is to have a 30-40 BI dowswing which i dont really want right now :P

best session by far. won most of the hands i was ahead for the first time. got only one cooler AA<KK. and won a lot of coinflips. Pokerstars loved me for the first time and i like it a lot _cool:

also did my 5 searches on sharkscope today and checked something pretty awsome. one reg has 12% ROI over 11K games and 2.6K$ profit. really? 2.6K$ profit and av. stage 2$ ? why would he do that ?

also checked some bad reg with -2% how do we change our game for these types of regs ? i mean we calling wider ? he has decent stats.

i was kinda slow on my decisions today. managed to time out with 10 tables

bad sleep is all i do. must sleep good and stay fresh. not gonna post hands. gonna review them 2mr.

its like the second day that i end up heads up vs decent players and they start crazy things like shoving 4K stack 75/150BB. do they feel so uncomfy ? i dont really get it.

Soooooo. Came to my parents house for easter vacation. brought my Laptop. pretty old machine. small screen etc etc. i can only play stacked so i can see easily stats etc. so it's a big change for me. i was 10-12 tabling in dual screens 23"+22". yeap seems pretty bad but im doing okay till now. it's just a bit boring to move tables on the corners when the hand is interesting and then move them back.

anyways played 2 small sessions :

#1
Games played: 8
Profit: 5.42$

#2
Games played: 13
Profit: 7.19$

BR: 134.29$

i don't even know how can i have such a profit when i get so many badbeats. i have a great ITM percentage. I wonder if someday all that badbeats stop how many $$ will i make :P
watched some pretty nice vids on bubble play and really helped. i abused the bubble a lot of times today and it was really +ev.

here are some sick hands, enjoy!

ok so today's session started pretty bad. 2 AA and 1 KK cracked almost immediately.

im SS early on a game and i kinda recover and have a decent stack. then AA come.

SO! March gone. i think it was the month i put the most volume since last year. after the big break.

anyways as i told you im not on my desktop cause im o 3week vacation at my hometown so unfortunately i dont have march's HH and graphs to post. the good thing is that im in the + side for sure and both of my lines (green and red) seem to have the good curve. very satisfied with my play and my reads. i found and fixed most of my leaks. i feel like crushing the limit but unfortunately normal speeds Sngs, although they are better in terms of variance etc, they are so fcking exhausting. 1.5Hr of play to get 1rst position. it's a lot time for me but on the other hand i can't really stand the variance and the so much pressure that you have when you have 5-7BB stack and need to shove. i must really train myself and give a shot on turbos though. must grind my ass off and see where i stand.

i didn't put goals for march cause it was the first month after a lot of time that i decided to get back to the poker world. and unfortunately i can't put serious goals for april too cause im not on my desktop, i have some problems right here and time isn't so much for grind. anyways i MUST put some easy goals just to keep me motivated. so here are the .....

:club: APRIL GOALS :club:

[ ]Play 500 games at least (647 are needed for silverstar so maybe i'll try for these) it means 22games/day. which is my average volume on my desktop
[ ]Train in 50 hands like underdog and other 50 on bubble before every session
[ ]When TN trial is over move my roll to the best room after research and take advantage of FDB.
[ ]Attend 2 coachings. although it will be only basic or bronze cause my acc isn't tracked by pokerstrategy right now :rage:
