Hey guys,

I have not updated at all lately, sorry for the incredible lack of updates.

Ive been very busy with real life as well as with my dutch pokerstrategy blogg.

Havent played too much yet, however, there are a few things id like to post here however.

on my main blogg ive promised the following;

Everytime I experience an upswing* Ill post a free video here in my thread, between 5-15 minutes.

*upswing = 50 bis up in less than 1000 games
* 20bis + in 1 day

Im only 350 games into my challenge so far, but running pretty good at least. So this upswing might be pretty close.
So I've decided to create a youtube account ill post the link below it already has 2 english videos on it. Leakfinders.

When do I move up?

For beginning players its usually when they have enough roll + confidence.
However for me, given that I am a poker coach and have an income from there, as well as another source of income I dont want to discuss further, Enough roll will most likely not be much of a problem for me, so ive decided to go about it this way;

-I have to win at least 50 buy ins at every stake , before moving up to the next one

-I can only move up once Ive completed the first condition, AND if i can really say for myself that I find the next stake an amount of money that I respect, this might be worded weirdly, but basically, ive moved a whole bunch down here obviously, and I need to get off my high horse and really be willing to bring my A game to win those 30$ here and there.

Yes, the reason why ive only posted those videos (the leakfinder) on the youtube account so far, is because those i havent sold the rights to as ive made em for free for a different website as a test video.

The other videos on that website made by me I cannot share trough youtube because I've sold the rights to em to that website.

However, Making a short 15 min video every 2 weeks or so, is not that much trouble or work imo.

And since I get alot of motivation out of these blogg/challenges especially thanks to the people following it, im sure i will upload and create some videos to which i have all rights (in other words that i can share for free with you guys as a token of appreciation for following)

We played each other like few days ago, several matches (was abt 3-4am I think), I believe you remember.

Was wondering why are you playing this low, thought you´re making some videos or smth like that ... ALSO couldn´t resist the impression that you´re playing somewhat unnecessarily spewy agaisnt me (but ofc, who am I to judge).

imo everyone who is even semi decent esp at 15s just isnt worth playing because of the huge and constant action of fish there is.

Yes, im not sure if ive not posted it in this thread, but i was on some staking deals after black friday happened (when i got alot of $$ stuck on ftp) so i could continue to play the high stakes, but my succes is significantly smaller now then it was on ftp, im not sure why that is, but some of my real life poker friends suggested that perhaps, subconsciously im not trying hard enough, and therefor encouraged me to challenge myself by starting completely over, on my own money.

I thought about it for some weeks, and ive decided that its a good idea, it definitely fills me with passion and fire again, while at the same time i do feel like i play more focussed on my own money and less autopilot.

Ive posted the actual challenge a few posts above however ill post it again here in spoiler, just in case you overlooked it cant find it.

Sorry for double posting not sure if its an issue here, but felt like taking a different post to review my results for the day would be best, rather then have it mixed in with the long post answering questions

I just wanted to grind enough to unlock my 80 EURO 90.000 VPP yearly Stellar reward (its 80 euro on pokerstars.be)

After i had unlocked it a few of my very favorite people in poker (serkules, wowkka etc) asked if i was coming to EPT berlin, just to hang out or to play whatever.
Because i havent seen them in real life in almost 9 months, I really want to go so I decided to play a 82 EURO rnd 2 Sattelite to the EPT (if you win this one you get 530 EUROS to register for round 3 where the first 5-10 players get entry to the EPT Berlin and 700 Euro in expenses.

As you can see in the picture below, ive won the Round 2 Sattelite

And got 530 Euros (=+- 690$)

I decided however to unreg out of the round 3 and just take the 690$, because it doesnt seem like a smart idea to me, given how ive started my roll from 600$ on April 1, 690$ is obviously a huge part of it. And ive checked for housing, nearby the EPT berlin, all my friends are already sharing a room and literally every hotel that my friends are in or that are nearby my friends, or that are nearby to the EPT casino are booked full for the duration of the EPT event.

So I dont think ill be able to get a place to sleep eitherway even if id won the money to register for it.

Which basically would make it a 700$ MTT (the Rnd 3 ((and final round)) Qualification) Where I get around 8000$ if I finish in the top 10%.

While it would be a good roll boost, if id lose id be crazy demotivated, and ive said already in my challenge post previously that i have to make at least 50 bis per level before i can move up, so even if my roll would be lets say 500K tomorrow miraculously I still would stick to my challenge and play 15 / 30s further.

What do you guys think?

Just one thing I'm wondering lately. I don't wanna offend you or anything. But if I take a look at your husng graph for this year, you are down quite a big sum. How bad did you run? Was it mainly due to EV runbad, card distribution runbad, both?

Other thing that I read on 2p2, that you have been 6 or 8 tabling 15s to rebuild roll. Not sure if that is the best way to do so. I got from 15s to 60s/100s in less than 3month with pretty nitty BRM (more than 100BI) and I was just 1-tabling (sometimes 2-tabling). I had a pretty rungood though. My point is that it probably won't take too long to get back to midstakes if you just 2-3 table. Obviously you have much more experience, so I guess that either way you will do it your way;)

As i said i definitely have a huge runbad patch behind me, and yes im down quite a bit this year, however i made 40K in december ( the last month of previous year ♦ ) so its about BE +-

i dont want to talk too much about my previous result the goal of this blogg is to basically rebuild a roll from micros to high stakes but i felt like it had to be mentioned that i have played these before.

Im 40.000$ below EV in january alone ♦

So i believe i had a significant amount of runbad but it could also be that i didnt play well.

But im really trying to make a fresh start and go for it.

The reason why i didnt make a blogg on 2p2 is because, i know so many people already on 2p2 what would be the fun in that first off ♦ and secondly i have a dutch blogg here which i consider my main blogg, while 2p2 is all english. Also im a bit fed up with 2p2 as far as hand history postage goes on 2p2 and what not, everybody there pretty much always advices the abc line imo it just feels like alot of people are robotically narrowminded there.

The other thing uve read is definitely not fully true, before april 1 (the official start of the challenge) i 6 and 8 tabled some, to see if it was doable( like 2-3 sessions) at april 1 however i started 2 tabling

I usually played every reg I ran into so far if he was willing to give me action. Not because necessarily I´d think I had an edge, but for two other reasons: a) to improve b) to build respect and to prove myself something maybe.

I sat you mainly because I thought it could be a great experience for me playing somebody like you.

Ye, one or two hands anyway I really think I messed up, don´t remember both, but one I do: You raise pre, I c/r on 33J rainbow with TP (mainly for induce) you flat (you had trips there). turn is Q which brings a flush draw, I check, you check behind, river blanks, I check and you quickly jams like potsize left. I snap called with my 2nd pair which I really disliked right after the hand happened, cause I would actually expect you to bet your floats on the turn when checked to, also my hand is pretty face up on the river so I don´t expect you to take this line very often as a bluff. Didn´t think very deeply about that situation in the game and probably lacked focus, cause I think I should´ve folded there ...

I would have done the same, 100%. Although, I have full confidence you'd have been able to ship the Sat, your goal right now is bankroll building and you've managed to massively boost your roll through the line you've taken.

Once you're playing the nose-bleeds again you'll be in the perfect position to ship the EPT events!

But have you looked into hostels? They usually have a lot of space, and although they are hardly luxury... you'd get to party in Berlin? I did that last summer in Amsterdam and Munich!

I havent looked into it i dont like the idea of a hostel/ sharing rooms with unknown people because if i go on a poker related journey i definitely bring a macbook, an iphone, and some cash and an rsa token.

Eitherway there are none nearby since my one group of friends are staying in the Ritz (no cheap things nearby the Ritz) and my other group is staying in a very small appartment thats already jam packed and the closest hotel to their place is reasonable pricing but sold out during ept dates

So yeah, whatever, ive got a great roll boost, ill just take the money and not go hopefully i run good and vegas this summer?!?!
